I have hummingbirds in my yard every August (late) through much of April. My plants include Hamelia patens (firebush) and Pavonia bahamensis (Bahama swampbush). For 3-4 years I had a rufous hummer spend "the season" in my yard. I live in Homestead ~ 6 blocks south of 296 and a little west of Krome.
