Spindalis is still an awful name! I'll admit that if it's not a tanager than this should be removed. But, it's got a striped head, so stripe-headed "insert proper family name" would be OK.
On the 300 for Miami-Dade, congrats and welcome to the club. I finally reached it last Saturday (not with the Spindalis). There are some very desirable perks and privileges that come with membership in the 300 club! Luckily, I never counted Y-C Parakeet, or I'd be kicked out! Come out on the 6th and we can help each other get #301.
