A nice photo of a Black-bellied Plover. The thick bill, no glaring supercillium, and white, as opposed to gray, belly indicates this. We have thousands of BBP here now and only an occasional AGP, they do stand out as a slighter, darker bird. Of coarse if it flew, there are the dark axillaries(armpits) to note on the BBP, which are not on AGP.
Hope to be down that way soon for some of your specialties!
