So sad about Mort. He was a good man. Long before I actually moved to Florida, I took a lot of vacations here whenever I was able. I first met Mort some time in the early-to-mid 90's I think. I can't remember the exact dates. Mort was responsible for many of my lifers first seen in Florida and I'll always remember him for that. My fondest memory was driving very slowly down Research Rd. in ENP at night with Mort shining his spotlight on various owls and goatsuckers along the road. R.I.P. Mort.
