not uncommon at all for south FL, just not in large numbers. We get them every winter in Key Biscayne, for example, where they can be seen at Crandon Park beach or sitting atop one of the light posts along the Rickenbacker Causeway. Just look at the postings from past years. The spot on the gonys may have black, but if you look closely, should also have red mixed in.
