I stopped at culter wetland for a quick look this morning and found possibly 3 and positively one Franklins Gull mixed in with about 700 Laughing, 200 Ring-billed and 25 Herring Gulls. I also saw a dozen Western Sandpipers, 6 Dowitcher Sp., Lesser Yellow Legs and 2 dozen plain old Pie-billed Grebes.

I can't believe that we haven't had at least one excellent photo of the ??? Grebe, nor has any of our fine, expert birders made the trip to look at this bird to know for sure.

I'm going to try and go tomorrow morning for a little while and look for the grebe, if not then, Saturday morning early.

BTW, all I could do was laugh when I read Marks Post:
"... further debate on this bird given the quality of the photographs is nothing short of bizarre."
