A few FIU birds, no Grebes

Seems like these birds are here to stay for the winter. The "hot spot" on campus seems to be behind the Business School ( Ryder Bldg) in the live oaks:
1 redstart( male)
B-G gnatcatchers ( atleast 4)
Hummer( RT, likes the hibiscus as well)
Numerous yellow rumps
1 female Baltimore ( Northern) oriole, has been hanging around for several weeks...

AND
2 blue jays who insist on imitating the campus Osprey ( seriously, I was looking at the Osprey and the jays and hearing the same call).
Also, a Lesser Flycatcher seems to enjoy the 2 ponds in this area.

PS would love to visit the Nature preserve, by the gym, but there are the feral dogs which make it unsafe..
