All right folks, here's the deal: in between trying to rewrite Stevenson and Anderson's records by finding the first Golden-crowned Kinglet south of Lake Okeechobee, I'd like to get a bit of rogue birding done, just like in the old days. With LaPuma up in Jersey, Stefan in the pacific northwest, Toe birding within a radius of no more than five miles (hey, cut him some slack people, he's got daddy priorities), and Trey...(uhh, where IS Trey?)...anyway you get the point: I've slowed down a bit.

The Masked Duck was still being seen as of 11/17, Justin Rink reported it. I'm sure some of the old gang has gone up to see it, but if you haven't, maybe we can plan a carpool trip. While we're at it, we can go see that Fork-tailed Flycatcher that David Simpson reported (did you guys see the pics of the flycatcher? Wow!). But seriously friends, if any of y'all want to go see either or both of these two beautiful rarities let me know, I'm sure we can convince Toe and Trey to go, the more the merrier.

Cheers and bird on,
Rock Jetty
