That Song Sparrow sure looks an awful lot like a Savannah Sparrow to me. Things that aren't working for me being the contrasting whitish supercilium (usually the same color as the gray auricular on Song), the extensive clean black streaks below (usually messier and more reddish brown in eastern Song), and the tail looks too short. The posture for Song Sparrow is usually more wren-like (tail cocked up), but that's hardly concrete. Also, that seems like odd habitat for a Song. It certainly does appear to be a different race of Savannah from the other two you photographed. The total lack of yellow in the supraloral isn't a deal breaker of Savannah, but it makes you wonder where it came from! Perhaps P.s.mediogriseus v P.s.savanna for the others, but that's just a guess.

Anybody else have any thoughts?
