I went looking for sparrows and the Yellow-headed Blackbird this morning. At LH I found only a few Palm, Common Yellow Throat, Painted Buntings, Indigo Bunting and a Red-shouldered hawk.
On the east side of the road at LH I found many Savannah Sparrows with a few Grasshopper, Chipping and a Song Sparrow.
There were many Palms and a few Common Yellow-throats mixed with the sparrows.
I also saw an awesome Male Northern Harrier flying over the field where there were many Ground and Mourning Doves. Also seen were half dozen Sandhill Cranes, Killdeer, Northern Rough-wing Swallows and a few Dowitcher that flew by.
I went by the spot where Paul saw the Yellow-headed Blackbird hoping, but only saw a few Brown-headed Cowbirds at the feet of the horses.
