I have also seen Greater Flamingos flying due west over the Florida Turnpike near Palm Beach and flying across U.S. 1 in Islamorada, in addition to seeing them many times in Snake Bight. it's pretty hard to believe all of these are escapes from Hialeah Race Track. Isn't it generally accepted that at least some of these are from wild populations in the Yucatan?
