( Ok, no Yardbird trivia this time)
I saw a group of birds flying high over FIU this afternoon ( while I was birding and should have been working). They were large and graceful, very slow wing beat, definitely NOT ibises.Could this be a flock of sandhills? They were flying a V-formation, and I have noticed sandhills showing up on the birdboard in local hotspots.
I have never seen sandhills flying in large groups , so I don't know much about this. I also saw this same type of formation, appearance and wing beat of a flock the other day over the Falls area.
( PS Jeff Beck was also in the Yardbirds, just had to throw that in).
