At the small pond where the Old Ingram highway meets the Gumbo Limbo trail a Hooded Warbler was easily observed in the cattails on the back side of the pond. In a nearby mixed flock we had Yellow-throated Vireo and Worm-eating and other regulars such as N. Parula, Black & White, Red-eyed Vireo and more. At the Firebush/Scarlet Bush on the north side of the bathroom at the main visitor's center I got a quick look at a Hummingbird. I observed a large amount of rust on the back, but was not able to see the tail. It basically had a green back and white belly. I assumed it was a Ruby-throated at first, but who knows these days it could of been a Rufous with all the rust coloring. Let me know if anyone else gets a better look at it. A.D. Barnes also had a Yellow-throated Vireo and Worm-eating at the wood overlook. Baltimore Oriole at Annex. 12 Warblers for the day.
