Mark, I recall some research that was done by one of the Dominican nuns in the biology department at Barry College back in the 70's. The research centered on coontie (Zamia floridana) germinating 6 months to a year faster when the seeds were tumbled or scarified by stones to rough them up. From that came several deductions one of which was that only a turkey had a craw or gizzard big enough to process zamia. Maybe baiting your camera sets with zamia seeds might be more successful?
