Also known as Spice Finch or Spotted Munia......had a couple of these at my bird feeder yesterday. Finally, figured out what they were.....Can any one provide any other information about this feral exotic finch species other than the sparse info provided in the Sibley Guide to Birds. Thanks. Also, had an Eastern Screech Owl atop the frame of my bedroom window accordian hurricane shutter the other morning. I spooked it while watering orchids. I think it was lying in waiting for a choice rat specimen on or near the squirrel feeder next to the window. This and the Spotted Munia make yard bird # 57 and #58. Woo Hoo! Paul, with what elixir should I celebrate? Ha!
