Alex has submitted a report already. I sent him an email this morning to make sure that he added all of the supporting documentation.
I to agree the bird was a Red-billed,especially since the two people that did respond for Frontier ID are experts for this bird.
Quote from Robin Diaz
"I'm sure you already know, but you all heard from THE experts on this bird -- not just birders with opinions. Peter Pyle authored the bird banders manual. When you visit the banding station, I'll show it to you. He just wrote a fantastic article on offshore Pacific seabirds for North American Birds.
Alvaro Jaramillo is a seabird expert out of CA and teaches seabird workshops. He's a tour guide for Field Guides and wrote the bird finding guide to Chile and the definitive book on blackbirds."
I assume that no one had anything else to add to their comments.
I haven't heard from "Life is Good" Paul or from Larry "Caliboy" on their thoughts but, Alex, You, Toe and I all have said it is a Red-billed. Talking with Toe who spoke with Paul, I got the impression that Paul also believes it was a Red-billed.
Congrats to Toe and his wife, who did all the work, on a the new addition to their family.
