Years ago when I worked for Flamingo Gardens one of the crows in the aviary plucked a diamond earing off a women's ear, it was a large valuable diamond. We searched all over the aviary for days and never found it.
We put up a sign advising visitors to remove earings. By the way that crow could talk.
