This morning I got an early start before work and birded north Key Largo with Tracey McCarthey of Arizona. We found at least two Mangrove Cuckoos at the North Key Largo State Botanical Site. Alexander Willian III showed up just as we located the first MACU. This is not King William III (Willem Alexander of Orange-Nassau) February 17, 1817 November 23, 1890, King of the Netherlands and Grand Duke of Luxembourg (1849 1890), but rather a local birder that takes pretty damn nice pictures. Guess who? He should have some photos up soon. The Cuckoos were calling consistently. Alexander asked me to pass on that he saw a Smooth Billed Ani this morning on SW 168 St and 94 Ct near Perrine Elementary. This is not far from where we saw one a few weeks ago.

Tracy and I also saw 12 species of warbler, including Magnolia at Carysfort Circle and a few Yellows between Card Sound Bridge and the toll booth. Nice morning for only a couple hours of birding.
