In my yard the favorites are firebush (attracts butterflies and birds), beautyberry (I've seen catbirds, mockingbirds, and black-throated blue warblers eat the berries), wild coffee (berries attract birds), and mulberry (the fruit is fragile and messy, but I've seen cardinals and orioles eat it). Before Wilma I had a bottlebrush tree that was attractive to warblers and monk parakeets. The birds eat the fruit of our loquat tree before we can get to it. Our lantana has flowers that attract butterflies, and the fruit is eaten by birds.
