I know alot of people hate these trees, but bottlebrush trees attract a great number of warblers, and they also even get the hummers into your yard ( the bird kind, that is, not the SUVs).
I see the most number of birds at FIU in these trees, I think the blossoms attract little insects that the birds eat. some probably eat the nectar ( the hummers definitely do).
Hibiscus also attracts mockingbirds, orioles,and some of the warblers, in addition to hummers as well.
