I've made three flights over FL Bay and the southern Everdlades (incl Snake Bight) this winter and I haven't seen the Flamingo flock. Talking to the pilots (who fly over this region regularly) they indicated that nobody has seen the flock since Wilma.
I just received word that there was a sighting of a single Flamingo flying over Snake Bight about two weeks ago. It was seen by a park ranger.
Anybody care to speculate on what this means about the origin of the Everglades Flamingo flock?
