It was a pleasant visit made more special by the birders from the Netherlands who sort of chimmed in.
Speaking of which; Wakodahatchee is settled down now to a few warblers, nesting green herons, fledging great blues, fighting coots and gallinules, patient alligators, noisy red-wings all over, and several limpkins that remain in the outback area away from the walks. Also one rather lonely shoveler, and about 25 blue-winged teals and a small cluster of yellowlegs, spotted sandpipers and four black-necked stilts.
Nothing record breaking. Just peaceful and serene.
