Something I didn't know about Great Blues

Moved to West Boca last year and was delighted to find that the close proximity to Loxahatchee had the pleasant benefits of some nice bird encounters. There are a couple of Greta Blue Herons that seem to call the lake in our neighborhood, "home." Until recently I have just enjoyed knowing the big birds were there, but lately I have witnessed a hunting scene that I'd never seen. There are plenty of new ducklings in the 'hood, and our local Great Blues hunt them! I doubt that this was a unique sighting or habit, but it was something I'd definitely never seen before. Although they are prolific and plentiful, I still can't help rooting for the ducks!
