There was also a bit of migration fallout at Birch State Park this morning with a flock of well over fifty warblers moving inland across the northeast end of the Scenic Drive shortly after 10:45. Here is the tally of warblers and non-resident species seen at Birch this morning (3/24/06):


Gray Catbird - 3
Northern Parula - 15
Yellow-rumped Warbler - 20
Yellow-throated Warbler - 9
Prairie Warbler - 35
Palm Warbler - 45
Black-and-white Warbler - 6
Worm-eating Warbler - 1
Common Yellowthroat - 2

These migrants were also seen today in Ft. Lauderdale:

Merlin - 1
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher - 1
American Redstart - 1
Northern Waterthrush - 2
Louisiana Waterthrush - 1
