Annex - ENP - Swallow-tailed Kite

I finally got to go down to ENP for a little while. I stopped at the annex
first and saw a couple of White Eyed Vireos, Common Yellow Throat, Painted
Bunting and the Bell's Vireo. The Bell's Vireo was keeping it's self hidden, so
no photo, but was visible through the foliage.


I headed to Research Rd. and didn't see much except a few palm warblers,
Meadow Larks, Tree Swallows and a Swallow Tailed Kite flying towards Royal Palm.
So guess where I headed next?


In the Royal Palm parking lot there were several photographers set up and
watching a tree in the middle of the lot. After asking a few questions, I found
that the Swallow Tail Kite was swooping in on a regular basis gathering moss for
it's nest. I was also able to put a few faces with names. Hello Roy...


I got a few shots off before having to leave.


Sure was nice to get out of the house/office.... :)
