Don't forget the Dome. The Dome! Just look. They had a pretty decent fallout of birds in the middle keys, with 40 Hoodeds, Swainson's, Kentucky, etc. over the weekend. What did we get: nothing! It's the dome!!!! I've been waiting for Zenaida Dove since 1999, but so far Zippo. But when I arrived in St. Thomas on a cruise ship, what did I see all over the dock - Zenaida Doves!
I propose an even more difficult challenge for April. Find me a life/state/county bird. Below are some choices:
Masked Duck, county bird
Red-necked Grebe, life bird
Least Grebe, county bird
Neotropic Cormorant, county bird
Northern Lapwing, life bird
Southern Lapwing, ABA life bird
Zenaida Dove, ABA life bird
Rudy Quail-Dove, life bird
Bahama Woodstar, life bird
Form-tailed Flycatcher, county bird
Loggerhead Kingbird, county bird
White Wagtail, life bird
Kirtland's Warbler, county bird
There are other birds I need, but those are either pelagics, or birds I would expect to show up in winter and not spring.
