Kay, I remember back in the late 80's when great egrets started stalking lizards in the hedges. They were pretty much aquatic up until that point. And the white ibis have been the best adapter in that same time period, changing from deep everglades birds to feeding on lawn grubs. Looks like the limpkins are going through a similar adaption.
