In the spirit of Rangel's Miami Warbler BIG Day I decided to see how many species I could see at one park. I spent the afternoon at Greynolds Park yesterday and here is what I got:
Black & White Warbler
Prairie Warbler
Northern Parula
Black-throated Blue Warbler
Palm Warbler
American Redstart
Louisiana Waterthrush
Other birds seen:
Blue-headed Vireo - a lifer for me
Green Heron
Northern Cardinal
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher
Red-bellied Woodpecker
Pied-billed Grebe
Common Gallinule
Painted Bunting
Northern Mockingbird
Blue Jay
Eastern Phoebe
Great Blue Heron
Turkey Vulture
and of course Muscovy
I have always seen Downy Woodpeckers at Greynolds, but did not see any this time. Does anyone know if they're still in the park?
