Just received a text from Chris Boykin and unfortunately the bird did not make it. Since it's a moth hunter and was found near Miami Dade College's North Campus I think it is safe to assume that it was using the lights to hunt. Wonder if this would be a useful tactic to keep in mind when looking for rare owls?
