I rode my bike along the L-31W canal that is just before the entrance to Everglades National Park this morning. I rode to the end of the road which is about 2-miles. You pass one water control structure which is about a mile out and then continue on about another mile to the last water control structure and the end of the road. I had a Vermilion Flycatcher, two Tropical Kingbirds with one calling, three Scissor-tailed Flycatchers and one Western Kingbird. I also had Cave Swallow, Barn Swallow, Northern Rough-winged Swallow and Tree Swallow. Yellow Warbler, Palm Warbler, Magnolia Warbler, Palm Warbler, Common Yellowthroat and Yellow-rumped Warbler as well as a Snail Kite. Along the way a light morph Short-tailed Hawk, a pretty birdy road with decent weather. This is on the north side of 9336 and the east side of the canal.

Two or three years ago I had a Tropical Kingbird in this exact spot!
