Good morning,

Valeri Ponzo and I are writing a paper on the occurrence of "Tropical-type kingbirds" in Florida -- either Tropical Kingbird or Couch's Kingbird. Because the two species cannot be identified in the field with certainty unless call notes are heard, we are interested in all audio/video recordings of "Tropical-type kingbirds" in Florida that contain audible call notes.

To date, we are aware of only three "Tropical-type kingbirds" that can be identified to species based on measurements or on call notes audible in audio or video recordings. We do not need recordings of the following records (all of them Tropical Kingbirds):

1) The celebrated female that nested and fledged four young at Sarasota in 2013;

2) One at STA-5, Hendry County in March 2010; and

3) One specimen from Palm Beach County in 1996.

If anybody possesses audio/video recordings that include call notes of "Tropical-type kingbirds" in Florida, we would be grateful to receive digital copies. As always, all assistance will be acknowledged.

Thanks.

Best regards,

Bill Pranty
