I'm putting together a pelagic trip this Sunday. With all this weather, and low level winds in the western Atlantic blowing from east to west, there's a good chance to get some good southbound birds. Target birds include Long-tailed Jaeger and Sabine's Gull, and it's prime time for both right now. I've already got White-tailed Tropicbird for the new boat, so a Red-billed would be nice too. September is a good month for pelagics. I saw the biggest flock of feeding pelagic birds in September a few years back, but I was aboard a friend's boat deep-dropping for tilefish in 800 feet of water and he wasn't interested in chasing birds.
