Mark your calendars Thursday-Sunday, October 1-4, the 6th annual Bird Festival at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden, sponsored by Tropical Audubon Society. Space is still available for the following festival field trips, all led by TAS leaders: Thursday, 10/1: Deering Estate at Cutler Bird Walk (half day); Miami Exotics Van Tour (full day) Friday, 10/2: Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park (half day); Florida Keys Hawkwatch Van Tour (full day) On Saturday, 10/3 and Sunday, 10/4, bird walks at Fairchild are scheduled at 7:30am and 4:00pm. Kids walks are also scheduled each day. Lectures and workshops are scheduled throughout each day, including presentations each day by special guest and keynote speaker Kenn Kaufman.
