Kendale Lakes Park was full of birds this morning. They were mostly hanging around the multiple strangler figs with ripe fruit scattered throughout the park. Jack Crittenden and Jeannette Alvarez joined me a few minutes after I arrived, and we searched the park for well over an hour. Numbers below: Common Nighthawk: 5, including flyovers and perched individuals Ruby-throated Hummingbird Belted Kingfisher: flyover Yellow-throated Vireo: 2 Red-eyed Vireo: 15 Barn Swallow: 4 Blue-gray Gnatcatcher: 9 Black-and-white Warbler Prothonotary Warbler Northern Parula: 5 Blackburnian Warbler: 2 Black-throated Blue Warbler: 2 Yellow-throated Warbler: 3 Prairie Warbler: 10 Summer Tanager: 3 Baltimore Oriole: 3 A little later, I briefly visited Kendall Indian Hammocks Park where I had: Red-eyed Vireo: 11 Blue-gray Gnatcatcher: 20 Ovenbird: 3 Worm-eating Warbler: 2 Black-and-white Warbler: 5 Cape May Warbler Northern Parula: 9 Black-throated Blue Warbler: 3 Yellow-throated Warbler: 2 Prairie Warbler: 18 Carlos
