Birded yesterday 5/30 with Dany Garcia and Elizabeth Bonnell. At Kirby Storter we had: Turkey Vulture Black Vulture Ruby-throated Hummingbird (female) Red-bellied Woodpecker Downy Woodpecker Pileated Woodpecker Great Crested Flycatcher White-eyed Vireo Red-eyed Vireo Tufted Titmouse Carolina Wren Blue-gray Gnatcatcher N. Parula Red-winged Blackbird Common Grackle Heard but not seen were E. Meadowlark, Common Yellowthroat. A Southeastern Five-lined Skink was also seen. We afterwards headed to Sweetwater Strand and nearby areas where we added: Swallow-tailed Kite Red-shouldered Hawk American Crow N. Cardinal Heard only was a Barred Owl. We added 2 very dark Fox Squirrels at Sweetwater Strand. Water levels were very low and small puddles were packed with fish: Largemouth Bass, exotic Peacock Bass (didn't know they made it this far) and small fish with bright blue tails - Bluefin Killifish?)
