Just an update on Green Cay Wetlands - as these boards have been a little quiet. Saturday 3/13/21 I spent a few hours and activity and species selection was pretty good. Red-shouldered hawks very active through the park - at least 3 of them. One nest in the SW tree stand. Least bitterns and sora throughout the park - passed multiples of each. American bittern near the nature center where the 1/2 mile trail starts. Wilson's snipe in the shallow mudflats to the south end, along with black-necked stilts present. Solitary sandpipers have been sticking around since November and are still there. One green winged teal female has been hanging around with the blue-winged teals.
