2019 TAS WALK HIGHLAND OAKS PARK 10-13- Fifteen birders joined me at Highland Oaks Park for only the third walk ever held at this destination. The weather was very nice and the birds started cooperating early with two Baltimore Orioles seen in the parking lot and Monk Parakeets coming to land on the nearby wires. Most of the birds were seen along the jogger's circle including 12 species of Warblers. Below is the list of the 40 species that I saw, plus additional birds seen by others in the group: Egyptian Goose Mallard Pied-billed Grebe Feral Rock Pigeon Common Gallinule Laughing Gull Great Blue Heron Great Egret Cattle Egret Green Heron White Ibis Turkey Vulture Osprey Belted Kingfisher Red-bellied Woodpecker Downy Woodpecker Merlin Monk Parakeet Blue Jay Fish Crow European Starling Gray Catbird Northern Mockingbird House Finch Baltimore Oriole Common Grackle Boat-tailed Grackle Ovenbird Worm-eating Warbler Northern Waterthrush Black-and-White Warbler Common Yellowthroat American Redstart Cape May Warbler Northern Parula Magnolia Warbler Black-throated Blue Warbler Palm Warbler Prairie Warbler Northern Cardinal Seen by others: Painted Bunting Indigo Bunting Killdeer Cooper's Hawk
