(top 3 pics in my IG feed) Today I saw bird that has not been reported in the wild in FL in years - it’s a blue gray tanager! There was a small population in Miami-Dade at one point, it seems, but that was decades ago (1970s). Guesses are that this guy may be an escapee - it lives in Mexico and South America; does not migrate. Be that as it may, this is a lifer for me! His beautiful song led me to him. (In trees immediately SE of the gazebo at arboretum - FAU Jupiter Campus). ID'd with help from Facebook's What's This Bird? group.
