About 20 birders attended the TAS walk at AD Barnes on a beautiful Sunday morning. Fall migration was in full swing, and we tallied approximately 50 species, an excellent day for ADB. Even before we left the assembly area, we had 2 Scarlet Tanagers, and a pair of amazona parrots (likely Orange-winged) flew high overhead. Best bird of the day was a Bay-breasted Warbler, but with the number of birds everyone got good looks at Magnolia Warblers, Rose-breasted Grosbeaks, and other migrants, including 14 species of warblers. With all the birds, not everyone had the same tally. My eBird recording as leader was 48, with the list below. Among other birds seen/heard by others were Painted Bunting, Downy Woodpecker, and Northern Waterthrush. Thanks to everyone who participated!
