The Key West Quail-dove that was found by Eric Ray on 10/16/18 at Lantana Nature Preserve was relocated and photographed extensively this morning by a small group of us around 9:45am. A few others including Yve Morrell and Carl Edwards had seen the bird even earlier this morning before the group got looks. The bird was working the large center hammock area as soon as you enter the park just past the gazebo in between the east and west trails. However, in the last 3 days it has been seen in many different areas around the Preserve. This is a very small park with very limited parking, although there is a Publix across the street.
