Don't know if anyone else did the June Challenge, but I had a respectable 91 species. I wish the weather cooperated a bit more yesterday as heavy rain and lightning made Everglades birding difficult at best. Big misses were Wood Stork, Pied-billed Grebe, Bronzed Cowbird, Eastern Kingbird, Downy Woodpecker, and Purple Gallinule. But I was pleased to end the June Challenge by getting a great looks, and a good photograph, of a Northern Bobwhite, an elusive species in Miami-Dade, just past Aerojet Road.
