Tried for a little sea watching over Biscayne Bay from People's Dock (accessible dawn-dusk and free of charge to the public) and after nothing but Red-breasted Mergansers I went to check out the feeder on the west side of the Deering Estate Visitor Center (16701 SW 72nd Ave). After a few minutes of watching the Scaly-breasted Munias, a very cooperative Chipping Sparrow flew in. As far as I know, this would be a first record for the estate and only the second sparrows species I have come across here (Swamp was the other). It flew into the pineland just south of the visitor center and I have not seen it again since 9:45am but I would not be surprised if it sticks around due to this weather, http://ebird.org/ebird/view/checklist/S41651456
