Plantation Preserve is scheduled for Nov. 19th from 1:30-5:30 pm. It will be led by David and Jana Lagan, along with Steve Kaplan, "King of Plantation Preserve". There have been some good recent sightings including: late warblers-Orange-crowned and Worm-eating, also Yellow-throated Vireo, Short-tailed and Red-tailed Hawks; Spot-breasted Oriole and Brown Thrasher. There is always a chance for Sora, American and Least Bitterns. I switched with the Lagans to cover their walk on Dec. 9th due to my recent trip to Texas and a Bonnet House bird class on Shorebirds.
