Bobolink at Oasis Visitor Center, Big Cypress National Preserve

I was very surprised to find a bobolink singing on top of a small tree at the end of the boardwalk this morning at Oasis Visitor Center. The bobolink was chased off by a red-winged blackbird and flew off into some high grass near our runway but eventually flew back to the same group of trees. Curious if the bird is a late migrant or for some reason decided to hang around this area for some other reason. It did act like it was on some kind of territory but they certainly shouldn't be around here this time of year.
