A swallow tailed kite swooped over my house(on Red Road two blocks north of Bird Road) a few times this afternoon, long enough for me to get a few photos, which can be seen and enlarged by clicking on the images, on my flickr page indicated below. If past springs are any indication, there will likely be other kites to be seen--probably roosting on the Biltmore golf course, or nearby.
