14 participants met for the Shark Valley trip. 57 species recorded. At the airboat meeting spot we viewed a sapsucker, 2 flickers and 2 limpkin--we missed snail kite. At Shark Valley we all got great views of common wading birds, and a cooperative spoonbill. The group was treated to the roars and displays of mating male alligators. On Loop Rd. the group added several species of warblers including black-throated green and northern waterthrush.. In the pine areas we added pine warbler and bluebirds. Also along the road we were treated to calling barred owls and tufted titmouse. The group got brief looks at 3 swallowtail kites. All in all it was a great day with lots of fun. My thanks to the participants.
