Hi All, A Big Thanks to everyone who has been posting sighting information, and to the Florida RBA as well, for the current, possibly wintering, Kirtland's Warbler being seen at Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park in Key Biscayne! If anyone sees the Kirtland's Warbler at Bill Baggs today, and also especially tomorrow, it would be great if someone could make a note, or get a live screenshot of their phone navigational app coordinates, or of their mobile GPS coordinates, of the actual spot where they saw the bird, and then post the coordinates and sighting update here (or at least please email them to me if not wanting to post publicly). eBird hotspot maps points are not at all useful for finding the location of a single great, amazing, and wonderful bird in a large hotspot area. It is very difficult or impossible for the Florida RBA to always keep birders everywhere updated concerning the latest location information for a rare bird without exactly accurate coordinate and directional information updated daily by the folks on the ground who are actually seeing the rare bird in the field. Thanks to all those who do provide such info. Long distance bird lovers/chasers can only hope and pine that good information is available the day or night before they depart to try to see a special bird the next morning.
