I occasionally see a solitary large black hawk near my house in Margate, FL. We have been noticing it for about 2 years now. Our back yard adjoins a good sized canal at address 1745 nw 69 ave in Paradise Gardens. My research concludes that it is a hawk that is normally from South America or possibly Cuba. It is definitely not a vulture.
