The Smooth-billed Ani can be seen at various times of the day but early is probably better due to fewer cars. It pops up along the area indicated on the Google Earth map and usually sits for a few minutes. A good strategy is to park on the south swale of 9336 and scan along the fence line of the north side. It calls so you'll also be able to locate it by sound.
