I had a golden-crowned kinglet on the boardwalk at Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary in Collier County at around 1:00 pm. I first heard the kinglet with its characteristic three part "see-see-see" call near the Lettuce Lakes area mixed with a large variety of warblers, titmice and gnatcatchers. About 15 minutes later as I neared the junction to the Marsh Observation Deck the kinglet popped back up. This time I also observed it just above the boardwalk. I was able to get a reasonable look at it; the bird showed the eye stripe through the eye, the crown lines (couldn't tell in the low light conditions whether it was male or female), and the white wing bar with the black bar next to it. I tried in vain to get a photograph but the quickness of the bird and the location it was at thwarted all my attempts. I was able to watch it darting about with my binoculars for about two minutes. Hope someone else gets a chance to find it.
